An Israeli leaflet dropped over south Lebanon 1982-1985, it reads: "Announcement to southern villagers:  Considering the increase in terrorist activity and the launching of missiles from the south into Israel, the Israeli Defense Forces will do whatever necessary to end these activities.  Calm must prevail on both border fronts.  Citizens!  If you want to live your lives in peace, you must refrain from providing any assistance to those who carry out terrorist acts or those who assist them ..."
